So I’m on Season 9 of Supernatural right now and I’m hearing bits and pieces of Season 10 news from tumblr, and frankly I’m kind of disappointed in the show I used to love so much. I feel like the plot lines have gotten repetitive, the queer baiting has gotten ridiculous, they don’t write side characters like they used to (heck they don’t even write the main characters like they used to), and they don’t seem to care about what the fans think anymore.
But then, because I’m an insufferable optimist, I remember how I dragged myself through Season 3, how boring and slow it was. But what came after season 3? The golden age of Supernatural that was seasons 4 and 5. Season 6 was just alright at best and downright cringe-inducing at moments. But season 7 was completely worth the wait.
So I tell myself that Supernatural isn’t dying. It’s just going through a slump. It’s come back from a disappointing phase before, and it can come back again.
Love is unselfishly choosing for another’s highest good.
when i understand fandom jokes from a fandom i’m not even in
you know when you try to keep yourself from sounding disappointed and then your voice does the wobbly thing and fuCK
